oh, it's one of the best cities in the world IMO

in bulgaria it's for sure a tie with Plovdiv, but its parks are more beautiful as is the giant mountain shading the city from the sun

but any local will tell you that anywhere around Levski and this area is dodgy, it's mostly in the direction right from that photo, let's just say i have several experiences with herbal dispensers from that area and heard more than a few stories

i probably lived almost 4 years in total in that city, i do miss it

i will say that EU membership is wrecking the place though, it was better in 2013

Unfortunately EU always manages to screw up everything it touches. It works only for the elite to plunder its citizens, don't care about normal people. Greece for example, a country next to Bulgaria completely destroyed by the EU. To travel there from Western Europe nowadays feels like traveling 20 years in the past.

Bulgaria as a whole seems very interesting to me, I hope I will manage to see more of it soon.

you must for sure see plovdiv, belogradchik, rila mountain

i've heard veliko tarnovo is awesome too, big old fortress there - was one of the things i loved about serbia, the tvrdava in Novi Sad and Nis

not the best time of year to see the country though tbh
