I remember when I thought Cashu was a great idea and then I got rugged from double spends. And remembered how fractional reserves work and that I’m just handing free bitcoin over to the mint operators. #fridaythoughts

which mint? It would be great to understand the failure mechanism. Bad mint or something else.

I still think cashu has a lot of promise, but there are tradeoffs. Love the idea of multinut.

I don’t recall which mint but it was a “popular” or well recommended one at least. Which perhaps could be part of the problem? Was it gamed to be a better recommend one? I don’t know. But I went to mint coins on a few occasions and it said the funds didn’t exist on the mint any longer. 🤷‍♂️ that’s when I decided i was done playing with it.
