how important is it to have a #NIP05 on #nostr?
is there any benefit? or is it just as a type of identifier?

honestly I am yet to understand it too. I believe it was to show that "blue tick" is NOT DIFFICULT to get UNLIKE the centralised counterpart. I maybe wrong on this though. Perhaps there is more privacy implication that I may have missed.
