TRAVEL UPDATE:
Matera is a city in Italy known for its unique and fascinating cave dwellings called the Sassi. These ancient houses and buildings are carved directly into the cliffs made of limestone, creating a mesmerizing and otherworldly landscape. The Sassi of Matera have a history dating back thousands of years, making them one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world.
Exploring Matera with the family (and a stroller) actually isn't too bad. It's hot as hell and there's lots of stairs, but with a bit of teamwork and some midday rest at our place out of the sun, you can get a lot done. Early mornings and later evenings are key to avoid the hottest parts of the day.
Looks amazing! How long would you recommend to spend there?

We're in this area for 4 days - plus we've rented a car to travel to nearby areas in the region, including this place called Alberobello. Looks amazing!
