More than once in my life, I’ve been asked to lead a large team. I’ve always declined. I don’t seek notoriety, nor do I want the time, stress, or emotional weight that comes with tip-of-the-spear leadership. My role has always been the strategist beside the leader… the one with the clarity to think, plan, & chart the course ahead.

But when the moments truly demand it, I step forward, lock in, & take the hits that come with leading.

Never underestimate the strategist.
