yeah, i'm thinking i probably should get one of those KVM style USB doodles with its own dedicated power so i can just flip it from one machine to another, that was part of the reason for the hub

get a powered hub, those are usually built better, tho its all kinda junk ya sometimes i think its about to short out, but then its fine 😅🙏even survived marine environment
that burst power shortage problem might totally explain the issues
my shitty laptop that got me started on my dev career 2.5 years ago now nearly 3 has issues with usb power...
i was worried that these old mech keyboard circuitboards had current leak or other similar problems but once i plug em in direct to the PC the power issues dissappear
it also makes me think that in the future i want to get a beefy UPS that will run my gaming rig at full tilt for an hour or two but more so just for the stable power... the PSUs have chunky caps in them and they run pretty good but more something to provide stable power for the monitors and whatnot... yeah, i'm starting to become aware of the voltage drops that happen from time to time that are prevented by better circuitry
i got dis coming https://www.amazon.es/-/pt/dp/B0CHY8L11W
i think it will sort the inputs
yeah, hah, lucky i managed to pick one with an actual independent power input lol... it has a usb-c power only input in addition to the power coming from both computers
