Apple is a permissioned environment.

I'm surprised that they even got it in the store.

Appeasing the Apple overlords while a new plan is formed is not a bad approach. Content creators can still publish via their Apple device & get zapped.

Nostr can still grow.

I can appreciate the plan while despising everything about Apple. They chose to develop on iOS & for a while Damus was the only usable nostr app. I don't know their reasoning for focusing on iOS, but nostr benefits from Damus.
