Apple is a permissioned environment.

I'm surprised that they even got it in the store.

Appeasing the Apple overlords while a new plan is formed is not a bad approach. Content creators can still publish via their Apple device & get zapped.

Nostr can still grow.

I can appreciate the plan while despising everything about Apple. They chose to develop on iOS & for a while Damus was the only usable nostr app. I don't know their reasoning for focusing on iOS, but nostr benefits from Damus.

Contrast is good.

Better off renaming the app Damus lite, and keeping some representation on the apple store than none. Make it clear what features are missing and have a full identical version as a side load app and identical web browser version. Make it advertising to get out of apple.
