That sounds interesting. So you have it running on a raspberry pi?
Discussion
Raspberry Pi is one way to run it, yeah. Helpful to look up tutorials on putting a Pi together for those less experienced with handling one.
Umbrel also sells it's own hardware. I know a guy running Umbrel on an old Dell computer too.
Start9 is also an option. Less apps available overall but if you mainly want to spin up a node it is a good choice. Also can be run on a Pi. Alternatively, I think they provide their own hardware option as well.
Interesting..so what is cheaper.... Let me look for a shop
Probably a Pi but I have not compared prices. I think the Pi 5 comes out next month so keep that in mind as you look around.
Pi 5 is already out and available in Nairobi. I saw it online. I think pi 5 also has WiFi, more ram and a stronger processor.
I just don't know where to make it, because I don't have a home. I live nomadic. Maybe I should go to some friends in Europe and see if someone is willing to put it in the corner at there home. Maybe I can ask my ex in Germany 🫣 or does that equal suicide! 😂
Well that certainly complicates things haha. Worth getting others more knowledgeable than myself to weigh in on workarounds for that.
