I've never been a fan of Telegram. I use it for a few contacts that have it as their primary communication app, but I've never found it particularly useful or superior to other alternatives.
Telegram and WhatsApp never cared for either.
I hate it. Especially I disliked the number requirement for phones.
The stickers are cool. That's about it
In bitcoin and open source, more broadly, it’s hard to escape. But I hear you.

telegram is a dumpster fire. i thought i needed it, but i haven't used it for 2 months and HIGHLY recommend it.
The peace of mind gained is unmistakable. Upside? Not a single person from there, has contacted me to see how I'm doing. Other than the two intelligence agents that were tracking me there.
