Other social media feeds - feels like they are a less pure place to leave something buried. Perhaps that doesn’t make sense though - good question. Can you imagine what Facebook 250 years from now is like?

oh so compared to traditional social media… it doesn’t make total sense… cuz how would nostr be different in 250 years?
Cause some company can decide to shut down or that they don’t want my words to be out there or my derelict account to still take up memory
I get what you’re saying, and yeah it’s a really cool and important feature. ☺️
I was more thinking like what tends to happen with all social media, which is like say someone uses it consistently for 2 years, they’d have a hard time finding some specific thing they posted like in the first few months.
I hope nostr has and develops a good way to help is sift through the haystack.
… going back to the wording of your original comment, “messages live on like time capsules”, but…. then you can’t find anything you posted from like 2-5 years ago 🤷🏻♀️
