I’m having problems with my Alby wallet at Damus! Has anything changed?

been getting lots of reports of this from alby users
does anybody say what "problem".
I feel like nostr is often the place just to say "problem zap" without actually saying what the problem is.
sometimes I wonder if people use this that they don't have to send sats but still can claim they want to? 🤔
We’ve been getting reports of:
Wallet reported an internal error. Message: Something went wrong while fetching balance: oauth2: cannot fetch token: 401 Unauthorized
Response: {"error":"invalid_grant","error_description":"The provided authorization grant (e.g., authorization code, resource owner credentials) or refresh token is invalid, expired, revoked, does not match the redirection URI used in the authorization request, or was issued to another client"}
that's not a NWC error. where do you use the OAuth API?
we don’t, its just an NWC error a user sent to us.
It says internal error so maybe its getting propagated somehow?

assuming it's the Alby Hub I think that user has an issue with his Alby Account. They could remove/refresh it in the settings.
What do you think the best way is to help users in these scenarios? A link to a help page or something?

Got a burst of reports around the unauthorized error, there was a few more on the network i will try to find them
I followed the instructions... delete the wallet and include a second time. I waited for a few hours and tried once more... same mistake!

and where does it say to delete something?
I received your Zap, now I just can’t send it!
You did not link a wallet to your Alby Account as it says when you login or on that page you see in the error message.
So I don’t know how to do it, you need to remember that I’m a normal user, not a technician! Before it worked without problems.. something has changed and I’m trying to reverse without success! Do you have any updated tutorials?
I know nostr and bitcoin are still early and hard, and you need to remember I can not provide such detailed consulting and you use free services.

And that is not clear? I assume you followed the URL there and read what it says and what instructions it gives?

In ZAP settings, it left Alby for “local default”. This happened by itself, I selected alby once more and it didn’t work!
I don't know what you try to do.
but the error you shared seemed pretty clear that you have to configure a wallet to you Alby Account and it gives you a link to a page.
That’s what I did yesterday! Even so it didn’t work... I’ll wait a few more days and come back here to try one more time in the future!
