There is no foolproof solution to this issue, but it provides a measure to enhance the level of privacy and security.
Hi, forgive me for being suspicious, but how safe is it to put my nsec inside your 0xchat app? 🙏
When I need to input my nsec in other apps, I will check their source code or look at reviews from others i trust. If I'm still unsure, I'll create a new account to test it out.
If you want to see the creepiness that's being described here:
1. Login to a Nostr client with someone else's npub.
2. Go to the messages area
3. Select a conversation.
Everything except the text of the messages is visible. The text is scrambled, but emotes to messages, the person you're chatting with, if a comment is a reply to another, etc is all visible.
It’s true for Nostr normal DM(nip-4), but not for the sealed DM (nip-24), and secret DM (Nip24+Nip101)
