Is there some kind of alphabetizing thingy out there?
I am looking to category my dvd collection and I am hoping to enter in a title and then have them all alphabetized.
For cd I would like to have artist alphabetized and then the tile of album.
I haven't used it, but I saw it recommended on r/musichoarder forums:
Music collector from clz.com for cataloguing CDs & you can also use the movie version of the software
I would use excel.
cat << EOF
movie c
movie a
movie d
movie b
EOF | sort
This works well for movies by title; not quite enough for artist then album title. For that you'd want something more like
cat << EOF | sort -t'-' -k1,1 -k2,2
Radiohead - OK Computer
Nirvana - Nevermind
Radiohead - Kid A
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
Nirvana - In Utero
EOF
