We used to sprout the seeds too. We cooked with them but mostly my wife used it for doing something on her hair or scalp, I'm not expert on that! Sprouting is quite good because then you don't need to rely on someone else having it fresh in the market.

I should try sprouting... I have acess to organic fenugreek seeds, but I doubt the fenugreek leaves are pesticide free ... Next time I'll ask if they purchased the leaves locally....

Apparently you can make hair masks using various parts of the fenugreek plant to help make your hair thicker, shinier and/or grow longer!

I read about using fenugreek for anti-aging face masks too.

So many great benefits. Just eating the plant will promote health and balance.... especially for Vata and pitta 😁

When you add the seeds to dishes, do you soak them first?

Yes, we had soaked them before sometimes but generally used them dry for cooking.

I can't quite remember exactly how we sprouted them. I think we actually didn't do a clear water sprouting but actually put them on soil and grew the small sprouts like that.

Also maybe she also did just soaking the seeds in water for some hours and using the water for hair stuff as well.
