Telemetry is a feature that allows data collection. It is used to collect performance metrics and other information???

I have set the -telemetry flag globally to Gentoo.

The same flag is also available for:

kde-apps/dolphin

www-client/firefox

kde-plasma/plasma-workspace

Thank you!

You are welcome!

Too bad KDE went that route too. Make sure you use KDE 6.2 from ~amd64 on Gentoo. 6.1 is buggy trash

package.accecpt_keywords:

kde-apps/* ~amd64

kde-plasma/* ~amd64

media-gfx/kio-ps-thumbnailer ~amd64

Good evening!

The kernel I use is: linux-6.6.52

Tomorrow I want to switch to linux-6.6.58-r1

Desktop: Plasma-meta-6.1.5 from ~amd64

Thanks again for the information. Good luck!

you can debloat KDE even more with

-accessibility -discover -wacom -firewall -handbook

Good evening!

Flags: "accessibility", "discover", "wacom", in kde-plasma/plasma-meta are disabled by default.

I disabled the "firewall" flag today, on your recommendation.

A big THANK YOU and Good Luck.

np. don't forget -handbook

I set the "-handbook" flag, but kde-plasma/plasma-meta doesn't use it.

Thanks again!

Yes but many package do use it. You can see it in your screenshot

Yes! I agree.

I never thought about it...

Thanks and good luck. 😭
