Bitmessage is cool but not many people use it.
I like skiff but I feel they take some privacy shortcuts compared to say tutanota, which is very good but clunky.
You can host your own, but e-mail is rather complicated under the hood. Really depends on your technical skills.
Probably won’t host my own. But nice to know
