Pets are soooo important...then you have kids, and the proper hierarchy is restored.

My dog is great, but if there's a house fire it's kids, wife and a sincere "God speed" to doggo 🫡

Absolutely. You double back for the dog. He’s a trusted companion and buddy but he’s ultimately a replaceable member of the family.

Agreed. I have 2 dogs but compared to my REAL family, they might as well be house plants in an emergency.
