it is very strange, but the only neighbors that actually stop and talk to each other are the ones with dogs.

kids' parents rarely talk

dog owners actually get to know each other via their dogs over and over every day

maybe but none of the dog owners have a phone in their hands because they have a leash. they are forced to live in the real world for that small moment in time on the walk

i travel around a lot and i see almost every parent at every park on their phones big city and small towns alike
