Are you buying your First one or upgrading?
My first one. With the 1st Gen I had worries about battery life, fan noise and most of all - the screen. Since I bought Switch OLED in late ‘22 I am picky and most screen’s just look dull to me. Battery life on Switch is perfect and fan noise almost non-existent.
They adress it all in new Steam Deck so my worries are now settled.
And to be honest, Switch is losing steam for a while now. So you’re basically left to play Nintendo exclusives or 8-10 years old games.
So I think Steam OLED would be a welcomed addition. I play a lot when I am far from home on a business trips and mobile devices such as Switch or Deck are best solutions for it I think.
I would certainly don’t want to buy a gaming laptop when I travel with one laptop already.
