Yeah, but .onion would work only if clients either use an app that natively supports it, or they use a Tor-enabled browser. No sense in limiting an already-too-small audience (for my niche at least). For a kinda backup I just run https://nostrsync.vercel.app/ from time to time. No backup for blossom uploads though.

With amethyst? yeah, that has Tor buil-in. Pretty sure if I use it as my only inbox it won't work well though.
True, but not what I was saying.
Inbox is for other people's notes to you, not notes you are sending out (hence outbox).
Yeah, but what reason you have fo running your own realy then if not having it as primary for your account?
As a backup.
I'm pretty confident I can get my notes out amidst any circumstance.
- I subscribe to a couple good paid relays.
- I run my own relay on a VPS.
- If all those fail, or refuse to host my notes, I have a relay ready to go on my home PC that I can start in an instant.
- If that fails I have a relay setup on my phone, connecting over tor, that I can turn on.
Also I'm worried about hosting my own notes not others. Your inbox and outbox don't have to be the same relays. Outbox holds my notes. Inbox holds notes from other people.
