I'm really torn on intellectual property generally, I really should spend some time really thinking about it and see if I'm ok with it in certain instances and not others because I tend to go with my gut on a case-by-case and that's stupid. _BUT_ I know for a fact that if the government makes it illegal to compete, illegal to innovate based on publicly available information, then they create unnatural monopolies that would otherwise get rekt.
I get that. Maybe I'm wrong on this, but I have a problem with someone owning an idea.
And your absolutely right on government interference, who are in the pockets of the monopolies. Pharma companies, just as example, tell the gov which rules and regulations to make in order for there to be no legitimate competition.
