Agreed. The no-delete is a problem, mainly cause I am forever doxing myself by accident, so a delete note would help me. Fortunately, my homies on THE NOSTR are not that kind of a threat.

Your homes on the nostr may not be a threat, but who knows who is lurking.

I have thought about starting over and being more careful with not doxing myself.

Exactly, it’s not your homies you need to worry about.

i have a feeling all of this comes full circle. i like that nostr doesn’t have the ability to delete. it separates it from the rest of the pack. but you do have to be much more aware of what you’re posting and how it could impact you in the future.

You could mothball it and still start over

As long as your homies know how to find you.

😈

Twitter only appears to have the option to delete stuff, anyone could have screenshotted/archived your tweet before you deleted it and even if nobody has, Twitter still retains your deleted tweet (it's only soft deleted in their backend).

On nostr you can request a deletion of a post (amethyst on android can at least), but of course it can't be enforced.
