You could use a UPS but mine always comes back online when it loses power. I had a power surge yesterday morning and it came right back online.
These things are more resilient than people give them credit for.
Plus if your node loses power chances are your internet is also down so the node is dead anyways.
Yeah I guess a UPS wouldn't be of much use if you're not there to shut down the server and it has no way to auto-detect a grid failure and shut itself down.
on the backup topic I just run the backup program on Start9 weekly or whenever I make a major change on my node. This backups to a thumb drive that I have plugged into my node. If the node dies, I spin up a new one and the backup has the important data to restore everything
I haven't tested restoring my node from this backup but I've been told it works. 😂

Depending on how the OS on a RPi is set up, it may or may not destroy a ton of data on the sd card every time you pull power.
I don’t recommend using a raspi as a node. I think people using pi’s in the past is where all the FUD is coming from.
I have a Robin Dojo node running on a pi and that thing has been a real pain in the ass and it only does onchain stuff.
