I've been an early to bed early to rise person for the last several years. Would routinely wake up around 4-5am before my alarm even went off.

But then I quit using cannabis entirely about 3 months ago.

Now I'm back to staying up late, sleeping in till 10-11 am on my days off, and feeling tired on work days.

Honestly this experiment has convinced me that I'm probably better off with a little moderate cannabis use in the evenings.

You and the rest of the world. As far as I see it, only those with an ego to fragile to dissolve are those who can’t deal with weed. For everyone else…i can tell who does and who doesn’t. Usually by the lack of self awareness.

Cannot think of a single substance with such a lack of side effects and without any real LD50

Your endocannabinoid system may still need more time to return to baseline and/or there are other factors that aren’t being addressed. Humans did just fine without exogenous cannabinoids for tens of millennia.

Insomnia is my baseline. Always was. The few years that I was a regular cannabis user is the only period in my life where I got good sleep.

excess is the undoing of man !

Well the human body must have the cannabinoid receptors for a reason.

Myself I'm a 5-6 year stage 4 cancer survivor so I do know of the medical benefits of cannabis. It helped out a lot during chemotherapy to increase appetite, reduce pain, help calm the digestive system, and help reverse chemo brain. The washing out of the chemo brain was the most surprising. I had like 5 rounds of chemotherapy and 3 rounds of radiation so I had multiple chances to experiment with and without. Massive difference in health and recovery with cannabis.

At first it was the smallest of doses and it would ease pain and only feel like 3 beers in. Sometimes I'd get the dose wrong and warp off into another dimension or time would stop, woopsies. I also tried smoking every day but noticed I'd end up with chemo brain like symptoms. I also stopped for over 8 months then started again. I basically used myself as a medical experiment with cannabis use for my own education.

I can honestly say with my personal research that twice a month is minimum and twice a week is maximum for my optimal health.

What you choose and what is right for you is up to you. I do think almost everyone could potentially see benefits with occasional cannabis use.
