Practically I agree, but it is a cop out answer. Your response sounds like everyone I tell about Bitcoin. Why not just keep the system we have, it's worked well so far.

It would be practically difficult to implement what I'm describing, but I don't think that makes it fundamentally the wrong idea. Lots of great ideas are going to be difficult to implement......but very worth it(Bitcoin, private roads, minarchy in general etc.)
