#Bitcoin is built on a consensus “trust but verify”, or Proof-of-Work.

Bitcoin was created to defend human rights & to RESTORE TRUST, because authoritarian governments systematically abuse trust, abuse power and weaponize banking data.

It is so easy to label with false claims #freedomtech when you enjoy privilege of western world as @harari_yuval and don’t need to use Bitcoin as the only tool against financial transnational repression.

Restore trust by not requiring trust to function.

People want to trust, but want also have mechanisms to verify. #Bitcoin is perfectly playing this role as a tool. For those who don’t need it, they can find other features of Bitcoin. But to claim it as a technology of distrust it is simply misleading and misinformation.

I agree with you, it is a technology that doesn't require trust to function. If you tell me an address has x number of bitcoin I can verify it. After verifying enough times one can start to build trust with numerous parties. Semantics but an important distinction.

I agree with most of what you said, except "trust, but verify". I would say "Don't! trust, verify". Huge difference, think about it..🫂🧡😊

Harari apparently doesn't know much about computers, networks, data or cryptography, and that's okay. So he should just shut up about #Bitcoin..😐

ehy I like your definition! :)

I studied a bit harari and he is a strong fan of globalism. A global big brother is something he think could be good for humans. I, as much bitcoiners, think at the opposite. But his understanding of bitcoin seems good at least 😅

He doesn't understand #Bitcoin at all. As I said before. "Don't trust, verify" is for grown-ups. "Trust, but verify" is for children..🍼😊

Hey its that guy who wants to "hack" humanity to make us more compliant with government and corporate desires. He can go fuck himself.

Also, preference is misleading. If you're starving to death you may have a preference for a piece of rancid maggot infested meat. Rather than eating dirt lol.

"Don't trust, verify" is for grown-ups. #Bitcoin is for grown-ups..🧡😉

Yuval’s got it backwards. #Bitcoin enables the trust and cooperation central to his #Sapiens thesis to reach higher levels and more sophisticated human development compared to #fiat (just like money improved cooperation over barter).

With #fiat, I need to know which government’s money I am using, what its value is compared to other currencies, whether the government is solvent, etc. None of that with #Bitcoin. The Ledger attests.

I definitely don’t trust that guy.

My question is who is this clown and why in the world ANYONE allowing him to live rent-free in their heads

He is effective in the communication and definitely not lazy guy to participate in the discussions. This approach allows him to be in the focus. We should use this method for education about privacy and bitcoin.

To each his own

he's a transhumanist who looks at humans as a slab of meat and a subject of the deepest possible intrusion "hackable animals" is a favorite term of his

no, i don't consent to being hacked and i actively defend it and attack anyone promoting such violation and call it what it is: manipulation

anyone who routinely engages in manipulative, rhetorical, sophistic reasoning to persuade people to drop their defenses is the last person you can trust

All correct. But he is effective. Unfortunately. So we also have to be effective in our goals if we want our rights not to be violated.

What. Tribe.

says the man who boasts about hacking human brains... not surprising he finds it problematic when the basis of bitcoin is precisely not trusting psychopathic "mind hackers" like him, aka manipulators
