I’ve never really used the strike wallet I set up.
But after playing around with it today to try to add it NOSTR, I now don’t understand strike at all.
An inferior version of Venmo? My only option to accept Sats instantly converts to $$. I don’t want that.
Something I don’t know?

Strike is a fiat wallet that uses bitcoin lightning tech to move fiat around. The best way to pay in bitcoin (to yourself even) using FIAT and NOT pay taxes because you're sending fiat.
If you want to receive and keep bitcoin that's not what you use as you found out

I personally zap more frequently if it’s in fiat rather than sats
Strike has more features though outside of paying lighting with fiat
DCA, direct deposit with the easily configurable percentage of fiat buying/Bitcoin — and most importantly— the encouragement send to to cold storage with no fees out
