This can work to an extent, but it would have to be preducated on, if you don't find work within a month you lose the shelter

Else there are those who would simply stay.

Let them stay then

Endless welfare recipients, not good for tax payer and also not good for the recipient in the long term.

People who are willing to live on the bare minimum of food and shelter usually can't do much about their situation. Requiring such people to find a job within a month is absurd and basically a system set up for slavery.

The role of a good society is to support those who stumble in life. It makes us all stronger. Ideally this is done voluntarily and not through taxes, but for the time being shelter and supplies is a fair enough solution.

I personally help the homeless where I live, with other people, out of my own pocket.

That's me doing the bare minimum, I could do so much more.

Voluntaryism all the way. :)

Too many hamster wheels in fiat society for people to have enough focus and energy for this. Every bit counts. 🙏

It comes down to the individual to make that change themself.
