Be careful of the psycofant that is the llms.
You don't think it built any interesting thought on the idea that you can sell yourself to yourself here? It didn't just said good things to me here. It completed the thought.
I do the same thing all the time. I have AI give me insights into myself, speak to me as if its my future self, and all kinds of games like that. They can be deeply insightful and inspiring.
At the same time I never forget what nostr:npub16ux4qzg4qjue95vr3q327fzata4n594c9kgh4jmeyn80v8k54nhqg6lra7 mentioned in his response - that AI is programmed to make us feel good, especially about ourselves.
But they will challenge you if you ask them to, which I do.
LLMs are incredibly powerful, especially if you take the time to learn how to use them well.
Sure but the interesting part is not the "this is a very smart idea. You are very intelligent."
The part is the AI building upon your idea. Obviously there's a judgement part involved. It's still your duty to judge of the value added. Just like in a conversation with a human you have to judge the value without just eating it.
He's right but at this point it's just obvious and no one that is slightly intelligent use AI as a truth machine and I find it almost insulting when someone assume I might use it like that.
I agree with you completely, and I can understand why you would resent that. I didn't for a moment think you were a simpleton who didn't understand what AI is and how its programmed.
