Cults are the opposite of free choice. Ideas that may be better are often ignored because it may go against the common held belief/ideology of the cult or cult leader. Cults require you to forego your own agency for the betterment of the group, when your self interest may be more aligned with the success of your group. Communities will often rally around their members, even if there may be some disagreement..Cults often exclude those who disagree, or push them out of the group. But who knows, I could be wrong and the world would be a better place if we all did acid, lived on a ranch in the middle of the California desert, and killed harmless movie stars who did nothing more wrong than succeeding in a world that I didn’t. 😂🤙
