that way it's all on the chain to be tracked. there's a digital "paper trail." one on chain btc address to another. if they're your addresses all you're doing is incurring fees with each transaction. that's not washing, that's complicating. there are ways to "anonomize" but that's not it.
Step 1: convert sats to Monero
Step 2: do smaller transactions broken up over time to convert the Monero back into sats (so there isn't an obvious follow-up transaction of about the same size)
YMMV but I've heard that moving in and out of BTC liquid can help obscure, at least if you are trying to avoid every casual hacker/tracker in the world.
