Living abroad I will need to communicate with family/friends from back home. Which privacy focused call, video chat & text app should I onboard them to?

This is a once in a lifetime chance for several folks that don’t give a shit about privacy. It needs to work well and not be a hassle or else they will end up pushing me to WhatsApp.
