Compare with the Thunderstorm Generator. The inventor travels around the world building prototypes for free, giving free presentations and prototypes for independent researchers and institutions, etc. All free, all opensource.

That is legit.

Not this youtube crap.

I largely agree. Similarly, like with Myers, anyone doing anything meaningful would probably just be disappeared.
