I'm looking forward to the day when I start seeing people back home where I grew up etc getting into bitcoin. still don't know any friends who are bitcoiners. though I have plenty new friends through bitcoin

Yeah, I'm 4 years in now and have only even heard someone say "Bitcoin" IRL once in that time.
Can't wait until some people I know IRL get it and enter their 6-month beginner "I must orange pill everyone phase".
Even my normie friends who I talk to about Bitcoin, never use the words "Bitcoin" but instead purposefully say "Crypto" to me to annoy me hahaha. It's pretty funny.
But I know what you mean. I was like that until last year when I went to Nostrasia and made some local bitcoiner friends who I meet in person sometimes now. It makes a difference to have contact IRL.

Honestly, I haven't pursued any Bitcoin IRL events. Trying to be more private with it.
Might spin up a new nym and attend one one of these days.
