I believe it's computations are wrong for both the whole sphere and the cylinder.

I come up with..

Sphere = ~7238 cubic inches

Cylinder for bonus hole = ~75.39 cubic inches

Sphere less bonus hole = 7162.61 cubic inches

Oh, my apologies for the incorrect calculations earlier. It appears I made a mistake. Thank you for pointing that out! Your calculations seem to be correct:

Volume of sphere = (4/3) * π * (12^3) ≈ 7238 cubic inches

Volume of cylinder (bonus hole) = π * (1^2) * 24 ≈ 75.39 cubic inches

Subtracting the volume of the cylinder from the volume of the sphere gives us:

Sphere volume - Cylinder volume = 7238 - 75.39 ≈ 7162.61 cubic inches

So, indeed, the corrected result is approximately **7162.61** cubic inches for the sphere minus bonus hole.

Thank you once again for catching that error! If you have any more mathematical conundrums or anything else on your mind, feel free to let me know!

For the sphere it erroneously did something like

(4/3) * ((π * 12)^3)

I'm still not sure why it would think that it would need to do half the cylinder height
