Can I eat these? https://www.allforgardening.com/1386220/can-i-eat-these-5/ #PlantsIdentification #What'sThisPlant

It looks like apple so you can probably eat it. It’s probably not ripe. It might be a tasty one or it could be a spitter.
I use it frequently to do frozen steak and then sear it in a hot pan.
Just built my second nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n style bioreactor. Now the hard part, getting it filled. #grownostr #compost #gardening

So far, so good.
Cool! Over the last couple years I’ve been grafting various edible European and Asian scions onto the “invasive” Bradford pear trees that have sprung up all over.
Who in my followers is going to the Self Reliance Festival.in Camden, TN?
Let's use #SRF to connect

I’m pretty late responding here, but I’ll be there.
More on the pawpaw!

Plant a couple pawpaws in your yard or plant a pawpaw orchard if you have the space. North America’s largest native tree-borne fruit!
I know the seeds should be cold stratified in the refrigerator in a bag with moist peat moss for 4 months. And don’t let them dry out. I hope the two you planted do well. I’ve got two very young trees in my front yard.
Did you have any luck germinating the pawpaw seeds?
I can see where you might want to experiment with a hugel mound in a swampy setting. Maybe a soil mound with no wood core would work better for pumpkins there? Best of luck salvaging some.
I started working at a little motel & swim club doing yard work, painting, etc. at around 14 and at a pizza joint at 15. It was good experience.
Do you have pictures of the completed bioreactor? How is is doing now and how much has it decreased in volume?
Have you followed the work of David the Good? He is a permaculturist who did a lot of work in Florida. He has a lot of ideas such as “grocery row gardening” and other concepts. Stefan Sobkowiak’s permaculture orchard is a good resource. I have some fruit trees but haven’t planted an orchard or food forest so I don’t have a lot of experience to share. Keep us posted!
The fruit on some of my guerrilla grafted pear trees are coming along well. I might need to do some thinning.

Just don’t be downwind of the poison ivy smoke!
I’ve got a couple goumi bushes on a remote property. They seem to me to be a bit like tiny apples. They are fairly disease free which I like.
Hardy kiwi, I assume?
Maybe a Bolbitiaceae family mushroom that is likely poisonous (like most mushrooms) and hallucinogenic. In general, fungi in your soil are beneficial. I wouldn’t worry about the spores unless you see a large volume dusted on an adjacent lettuce leaf.
I guess you can add some to other juices (apple, orange, etc.) to add some character and vitamins. Or boil it way down and then make fruit leather. If it is not very tart (AO is not tart) you can add a little lemon juice.
