I agree with you 98.576% of the time but not on this one. I’m childfree and far more content, financially stable, and downright happy with my life than my parent friends. The money I would’ve wasted on diapers, schooling, etc. ultimately found its way to Bitcoin and allowed me to retire earlier than I would have otherwise. The time I would’ve wasted dealing with an ungrateful screaming kid was spent writing code, visiting with friends, traveling with my girlfriend, losing tennis matches to senior citizens, and doing other things I enjoy.
I do agree that being childfree doesn’t mean “having it all.” I’m not even sure what that means or if it’s even possible. Every decision has opportunity costs to be sure, but to me, breeding has a lot of cons and almost zero pros. The reward/risk ratio just isn’t there.
Totally respect your take on it though. To each his own.
