I'm not sure but isn't there a feature where the phones checking if you're looking at the screen for security reasons? Like it locks the screen if you aren't looking for some amount of time?

See if changing it changes behavior
1. Starfuckers : they only respond to people they deem on their level (noticed with devs alot). This is a noisy minority, and not representative of Nostr.
2. The time of day/week plays a crucial role. I have found weekends to be the most active in responses as people have time to converse.
3. Possibly for the same reason you haven't replied to any posts...
