In Nazi Germany it was illegal to homeschool your children because compulsory public school was the best way to indoctrinate and control the youth to produce obedient workers and soldiers.

Still illegal in Sweden. Still illegal in Norway. In Scandinavia, only the Danes have the right to homeschool. This right is written in their constitution. All children must receive "an education that is on par with the public school" - as if that is worth aiming for.

not illegal in norway. the only thing illegal is not attending school. you can still be homeschool you just need to notify your municipality
