I feel like telling someone to “check their financial privilege” is a bit loaded and puts people in an even more defensive posture. That said, one can definitely point to bitcoin making a difference around the world, one can also point to plenty of cases of absurdist definancialization in the west. Or even better point to a story of how bitcoin helped you in some tangible “non-speculative investment” way.
