So 29 channels (some to very large nodes) with over 1BTC inbound liquidity doesn't cut it?
Doesn't sound right to me, especially when I have no problem routing other payments in and out.
I tried earlier opening a channel to Olympus, but was blocked from doing so.
In any case, lightning doesn't require every node connected to every other node
You should be able to open unannounced channnels to us. Give it a try and you should be able receive payments thru us with the Lightning address or with route hints enabled.
I did succeed in opening a channel.
But is this a prerequisite for receiving payments?
Seems weird.
We try to route to you within a fee budget. If we can’t find a cheap enough route from Olympus to your node, it can’t be redeemed.
If you have an Olympus channel it will always work as long as you have inbound in it.
Thanks for the explanation.
That makes it a little clearer.
Routing fees are part of the business model, I get it.
The error message was just confusing as heck.
