I thought the ordinals and non monetary transactions were making node syncing of the latter years take waaaaaaay longer to sync.

That it what happened to me on my last sync of the full timechain, and i had attributed it to that 🙃😅

Is that not so?

Thanks

It is cheaper to verify inscriptions than a lot of normal transactions

Yep, the more money transactions, the higher the fees

No. The actual reasons is signatures are slower to verify than garbage data

And garbage data makes node syncing take longer, correct?

No.

They only use more bandwidth and disk. But also that is not the bottleneck

So?

Allowing for additional data that would not be there without a change increases the cost of running a node and is a headwind to decentralization.

I’m not a fan of allowing additional data. That’s why I’m a fan of the block size limit.

How do you feel about the core devs blocking people from participating in discussions and seemingly pushing through an unpopular change? Also, what are your views on Bitcoin tail emissions? 🙏
