I put a sticker on my laptop that reads "Free Palestine" in Tajik. Supposedly it was made by the Palestinian embassy in Dushanbe. A student of mine looked at it and laughed. Puzzled, I asked if she thought Palestine was funny. She said, "No, I laughed because it's in Tajik." She's Tajik. Shameful. 😔
