We humans keep making the same 10 mistakes over and over again. And each generation is sure that they are different as they walk headlong into the same dumbassery.

But at periodic points, miraculously, change points emerge. The printing press, the steam engine, radio, tcp/ip, Bitcoin…

I forgot the reason I started writing this the same way we forget history, but it’s an interesting thought to spend some time on.

We don’t like change. It’s painful.

Change is life. Apathy is painful.

Seems to me a small percentage of the populous figures out how to use/abuse these fringe technologies and eventually the masses are happy to be manipulated by them. This process is neither good or bad its just they way evolution rolls on

I always assumed it was intentional - every time the lesson was inevitable the reset button was pressed. War, famine, pestilence ensues. Start again. With the same people in charge
