Wait, is Alby a self custodial service? I thought they never gave me the mnemonics.

They can provide a custodial wallet and lightning address but you can also configure the browser extension to connect to your own node

Havet watched the video yet, but I think I'm doing something similar. LND and Tallycoin on my Umbrel. Tallycoin host the Lightning Address for receiving sats, which connects back to my Lightning Node. For sending I use Tailscale on Umbrel/mobile/desktop to connect to lightning node in Zeus/Alby

Also note that you can do this with your own self-hosted node if you’d like to as well (doesn’t necessarily have to be a Voltage node)

Technically speaking yet, but there are some technical hurdles involved like hosting a lightning address on a domain you control, and getting access to the TLS certificate & Macaroon info necessary. It isn't a quick copy/paste job like the video above (yet).
