I’m a bit of an outsider, so I admit they all look rather similar to me, just with Bitcoin being the original and others trying to solve some problem they saw, like “sucks it’s not viable to mine this on a computer anymore”, or “our money isn’t meme-y enough”, or even “we want to make our own cryptocurrency based off of someone else’s code, and hope to make lots of money off of it”
I'm probably the wrong person to answer this for you because I think all investment in digital currencies or goods is basically a pyramid scheme that funnels money from people who buy now into the pockets of early adopters. (though I do support the existence of them for the purposes of circumventing the financial system) What I THINK bitcoin maximalists hate about NFTs is that those people could be using their money to pump up the price of bitcoin so it feels like a loss.
