I unfortunately believe that truly private social networking will forever be a dead end. There are too many attack vectors that can undermine privacy, such as rogue nodes that collect IPs, accidental data leakage by users in their posts, stolen private keys, etc.
If you value peace of mind & privacy, don’t use any Internet networking ever. The Internet is a live wire that usually has more downsides than upsides, especially in an age of AI where an intelligent model can encode most if not all of the useful information on the web today.
Perhaps the future of “social” networking are offline AIs you talk to on your own offline devices, insulated from the wild wild web. =) nostr:note130u5yqmqty4qc5q22gmxx2t6yw9j8zqqwlg36xe0mk4kvvnm85fs4mgs9w
