I am pretty sleepy now so I will have to come to this tomorrow. Thank you, for asking☺️🙏

I have a feeling it may be also some of the graphene os settings. But in general uploading videos to amethyst doesn't seem to be an option over a certain size or length.

I forgot what the upshoot from nostr.band was. Right now paying $60+ for hosting is just something I'd rather do at a later time when it is in my budget.

I think the issue you’re running into is that you’re using the free level of nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 which limits your file size per upload.

If you’re not aware, Nostr is different than the social media platforms you’ve used because it’s not a company and everything here is built and run in a decentralized way. Media hosting isn’t native to the protocol, so there are services that provide those features, which are run by independent teams.

Yes, there’s a subscription cost, but I find it worth paying for all the features it has. You can also recover the cost over time with zaps. 😉

There is a 10MB limit for uploading videos using nostr.build. If you can’t get an account that has no size limit on the videos, try using Handbrake to compress videos. It is a free app on the internet.

Adobe Media Encoder also helps with this.

Or davinci resolve to edit the video and encode it.
