Self reflection: for over a decade I have had them investigating crazy people and running around in circles while i try to low key rat them out..... Idk if it'll ever stop actually.

On that one... Lol No. It's weaponized schizophrenia. It would be horrible if it didn't give people a sense of purpose. There's a trade off.

Not panic or shutdown, although in some cases it's unavoidable... Depends on the person.
